For over thirty years the Portofino collection, with its classic elegance, has been synonymous with carefree Mediterranean lifestyle, understatement and good taste.
The voluminous but minimalist design of the Portofino case has its roots in the seventies, when IWC presented the Lépine pocket watch, destined to become the reference point of this timepiece line. The first "pocket watch" with the Portofino name was launched in 1984. Since then, the watches of this family, prestigious and timeless, are part of the fixed repertoire of IWC.
Appreciated equally by men and women, the Portofino collection has been a guarantee of success for the Schaffhausen factory for thirty years. And this is due both to the constant demand for classic watches and to the puristic design that distinguishes these timepieces. Simple and essential, the dial with Roman numerals and stick hour markers is completed by thin sword-shaped hands.
