The bronze case, the olive green dial and the brown calfskin strap lend an exclusive personality to this Pilot's Watch with perpetual calendar. Over time, and depending on use, this material takes on a slight patina that darkens its color, giving the Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Spitfire a unique and unmistakable character. Thanks to the Pellaton refill system and two barrels, the IWC-manufactured caliber 52615 accumulates a seven-day power reserve. The components of the Pellaton charging system exposed to particularly high stresses and tensions are made of wear-resistant ceramic. The perpetual calendar automatically recognizes the various lengths of the months and leap years and does not require any correction until 2100. It can be set simply using the crown. The double moon indication shows exactly the moon seen from the northern and southern hemispheres and requires correction of only one day after 577.5 years.
