During their record-breaking voyage aboard the Silver Spitfire, the two founders of the Boultbee Flight Academy traveled nearly 43,000 kilometers in four months, visiting more than 20 countries along the way. As the main partner and official timekeeper of the expedition, IWC celebrates this historic milestone with a unique timepiece. The Big Pilot's Watch Big Date Spitfire Edition «Mission Accomplished» is produced in a limited edition of 500 pieces. It features an olive green dial enclosed in a bronze case, which acquires a distinctive patina over time. The IWC 59235 manual manufacture caliber offers an 8-day power reserve. A noteworthy detail is the indication of the date at "12 o'clock". The date is made up of two disks: the first disk indicates the tens while the second shows the units. The engraving of the Silver Spitfire on the case back commemorates the success of the «The Longest Flight» expedition.
