IWC's Pilot's Watches are famous all over the world: precise, technically advanced and with a cockpit-style look that made them the aviator watches par excellence.
The conspicuous conical crown of the Big Pilot's Watch is a reminiscence of the era when aviation pioneers had to face wind and bad weather inside unheated cabins. Since they wore padded aviator uniforms and thick gloves, the crown was always particularly large and easy to grip, so that it could be adjusted and reloaded even with covered hands. In the 1930s and 1940s, IWC shaped the cockpit-style look of classic aviator watches. Thanks to the white indicator triangle at "12 o'clock", a quick glance is enough to recognize the position of the hands and read the time. The equilateral triangle with the tip pointing upwards is accompanied by two lateral dots to facilitate orientation and is luminescent.
Within the Pilot family we find the special editions "Le Petit Prince" and "Antoine de Saint Exupéry and the collections" Top Gun "and" Spitfire ".
