Last year, Girard-Perregaux unveiled the Laureato Absolute, a watch that highlighted the legacy of the iconic 1975 model and at the same time a strong and masculine character. Now, we're excited to release the next chapter in this amazing story, the Laureate Absolute Crystal Rock, a futuristic design that upholds the brand's reputation for uncompromising craftsmanship.
This new 44m diameter chronograph features a vitreous carbon case, a durable and extremely light material. Girard-Perregaux's Laureato Absolute Crystal Rock weighs only 94 grams. This high-tech material combines layers of carbon fiber and glass fiber subjected to high temperatures and pressure to create a homogeneous material. The material is then molded into the desired shape. The result is a matte case with a slightly textured finish. Interestingly, the layers that compose it create an irregular composition within the material and are randomly aligned so that each case is unique and each watch exclusive. The self-winding Manufacture movement, Caliber GP03300-1058 , is made up of 419 components. The Laureato Absolute Crystal Rock is complemented by a gray rubber strap with a woven pattern and matching gray topstitching. Case and strap are perfectly integrated so as to appear as a single whole
