Girard-Perregaux has been defying gravity for 150 years and once again demonstrates his mastery of high precision movements. The Planetarium clock combines a triaxial tourbillon, a three-dimensional globe that performs a complete 24-hour turn and astronomical moon phase.
The Tri-axial Planetarium is one of the very few tri-axial Tourbillons in the watch industry. Challenge gravity with the spectacular high-speed 3D rotation of your Tourbillon, but also with its hand-painted terrestrial globe that rotates in 24 hours, offering an intuitive view of the time all over the world. The globe is made of titanium, while the hand-painted miniature represents a map from the 17th to the 18th century. Its impressive case design incorporates two sapphire domes and a side opening that allows you to admire the tourbillon from all angles.
The different components and finishes of the movement are references to Girard-Perregaux's DNA: the bridges in the shape of an arrow and half arrow in gold and a half on the back of the movement; the lyre shape of the Tourbillon cage, recognized throughout the world of watchmaking as one of the brand's signatures since the eighties of the nineteenth century as well as the eagle engraved on the back, a symbol of the Manufacture used since 1867.
