Neo Tourbillon with Three Bridges Skeleton is a natural extension of several foundations of Girard-Perregaux. The first is the 1884 patent for a tourbillon with three bridges visible on the dial, the principle behind the "With Three Gold Bridges" architecture and the unique signature of the Girard-Perregaux watchmaking. The second is the skeleton work on this type of movement, which Girard-Perregaux has been practicing since 1998. The third phase was the birth in 2014 of the Neo Tourbillon with three bridges. The latter were not straight, flat or gold, but arched, tense, rounded, perforated and black.
In unveiling the first skeletal version of his Neo Tourbillon with three bridges, Girard-Perregaux presents a new exercise in watchmaking architecture. Shedding light on gravity, mass and opacity, the Neo Tourbillon with Three Bridges Skeleton proudly affirms the relevance of the Girard-Perregaux approach to design, watchmaking and style. The GP09400-0011 caliber is equipped with a Tourbillon cage powered by an unidirectional automatic winding system with a white gold micro rotor under the barrel. This perfectly symmetrical movement was delicately perforated and finished by hand by highly skilled craftsmen.
