Contograf is an automatic mechanical chronograph offered as a tribute to the homonymous creation from the 1960s, an emblem of its period thanks to its very innovative features. The Contograf of the 1960s was a precision chronograph with two counters and a large date display at 6 o'clock, with a quick release date, a sort of revolution for the time.
Most of the original features have been retained in the new edition, such as the minute counter divided into three units and designed to measure the duration of a phone call. There are also many innovative details: the new ceramic bezel with unidirectional rotation acts as a frame for the tachometer scale inspired by automotive design, the Déclic® deployant clasp (patented) and the new steel Chassis® bracelet. The date window at 6 o'clock has maintained its particular trapezoidal shape. The case back is screwed as in the original version and contains the writing "Tribute to Contograf - 1960s": a journey through time interpreting the 60s in a contemporary key.
